 Abstract:  The collection consists of records of the Nathan Straus Jewish Center, founded in the Bronx in 1929 and comprised of an Orthodox synagogue and a Hebrew school. Materials include Men's Club minutes from the 1980s onward, selected legal documents, correspondence, printed ephemera, and photographs. Membership declined in the 1990s, leading to the sale of the synagogue and school buildings to Montefiore Medical School.
